There’s something about the end of August that always feels like a quiet pause… a soft space between what was and what’s to come.

For me, September has always been a kind of “second New Year.” The air feels different. The routines shift. And there’s this subtle invitation to reset — to check in with yourself and get clear about what you want to create next.

If you’re feeling that same nudge, here are five areas of life. These are what I call the portals of transformation.  They provide openings that shows you where your soul is asking for attention, healing, or growth. By exploring them this week, you can prepare for a powerful start to the fall season.

1. Your Wellbeing and Energy

Notice what your body has been telling you. Do you need more rest, movement, or nourishment? Even small changes — like a morning walk, a new bedtime ritual, or saying no to that extra commitment — can create space for your vitality to return. Our energy is our greatest resource; when you feel strong and grounded, every other area of your life begins to flow with more ease. This season is a reminder to come home to your body and give it the attention it deserves.

➡️ Try this: Ask yourself, What would feeling energized and grounded look like this season? Then, choose one simple habit to start today.

2. Your Relationships and Roles

As routines shift, relationships often need recalibration. Maybe you’re craving more time with loved ones… or longing for deeper connections with like-minded souls. This is also a chance to look at the roles you’ve been carrying — parent, partner, friend, colleague — and notice where you want to step forward with more presence or gently step back to create space for yourself. Every season invites a chance to redefine what connection looks and feels like for you.

➡️ Try this: Reflect on where you feel most supported and where you feel drained. Commit to nurturing the connections that truly feed you — and letting go, gently, of the ones that no longer align.

3. Your Work and Purpose

September is a natural time to revisit your purpose. Are you feeling fulfilled in your work? Or is something calling you toward a new direction? Sometimes the signs are subtle — a restlessness you can’t ignore, a quiet dream that keeps nudging you forward — and sometimes they’re loud, like a clear sense that it’s time for something entirely new. Either way, this is the perfect moment to get curious about what’s next for you.

➡️ Try this: Journal on this prompt: What’s one thing I’ve been afraid to admit I want in my work or creative expression? Awareness is the first step toward change.

4. Your Money and Security

With fall often comes planning — for the holidays, the end of the year, a mid-winter vacation, or even retirement. This is a good time to get honest with your finances, not from fear but from empowerment. When you align your money with your values and your vision, it becomes a tool for freedom rather than stress — allowing you to make choices that truly support the life you want to create. It’s also about cultivating an abundance mindset, remembering that shifts in your financial situation can happen at any age… it is never too late to rewrite your story with money and create greater ease, flow, and possibility.

➡️ Try this: Review your income and expenses for the past three months. Then ask, Where am I spending out of alignment? Where can I create more flow and ease?

5. Your Personal Growth and Spirituality

This portal has been the most alive for me lately. Many of you know that when my husband died 16 years ago this fall, it shattered me… broke me open. That loss became the catalyst for my spiritual journey, one that had me reading everything I could, taking courses, following teachers and authors, and slowly piecing together the path that would lead me to my purpose.

Over these years, I’ve grown and evolved so much — but more recently, as I’ve downsized my home and my boys have almost launched into their own lives, I feel a new invitation stirring. I call it my “Sacred Elderhood,” this is the threshold where I can feel myself moving out of midlife into something deeper, quieter, and more rooted.

For me, that’s meant being called into nature in a way I never expected. It’s meant opening to the Divine Feminine after years of living so fully in my masculine — always doing, directing, providing. Now, my personal growth and spirituality are asking me to slow down, to listen more, to deepen.

And of course, this shift ripples out into every area of my life — my work and how it continues to evolve, my relationships, even where I want to live and how I earn, and, perhaps most beautifully, how I want to age with health, vitality, and grace. The more I lean into being, the more space I have to care for myself… and to honor what truly matters.

➡️ Try this: Take three deep breaths, place your hand on your heart, and simply ask, What is my soul asking me to notice right now? The answer may surprise you.

These five areas are always shifting and evolving, and when one feels particularly active, it’s often a sign that you’re being invited to go deeper.

I call them portals because they’re more than just “areas of life.” Each one is an entry point to transformation. When we step through a portal with intention, we gain access to greater clarity, wisdom, and alignment in every part of our lives.

That’s why the very first step of the Clarity Blueprint is to explore which of these portals is most activated for you right now. Once we know where the energy is stirring, we can start to map your unique path forward. This provides a clear path that’s grounded, actionable, and aligned with who you’re becoming.

If you’re ready to step through that first portal, this is the last week to save over $300 on your Blueprint.
