Happy New Year! What are your intentions for 2020? The new year and the new decade offer a chance for new beginnings in our personal and professional lives. As many people return to their work after the holidays, they long for a change…to find a way to ignite more passion and purpose into their work…to embrace their deeper calling. The question becomes, “How do I get there from here?”

The answer to this lies in uncovering your unique ThriveZone—the sweet spot where your unique gifts and joy meet your community’s needs. This is where you operate at your greatest power and potential. It represents your contribution to the world. By aligning with your highest potential and purpose, you focus and integrate your gifts, passions, training and experience (personal as well as professional) for maximum impact. Most importantly, you love what you do everyday.

Over the past ten years, Designing Transformation has developed a process to help individuals, business owners and leaders discover and step into their ThriveZone. This one-of-a-kind framework has four parts: Awaken, Discover, Envision and Mastery.

I. AWAKEN—Become aware of and aligned with your greater potential.

This phase involves gaining a new understanding of your life’s path and acquiring transformational tools (Five Power Practices). Recognizing the power of your beliefs and learning self-acceptance are the key steps in creating space for greater possibilities.

II. DISCOVER—Uncover your unique ThriveZone Blueprint and Ecosystem.

The second stage of the process involves self-discovery to identify the four elements of your ThriveZone where you experience your greatest levels of engagement, excellence, empowerment and self expression. You also need to define the Ecosystem (market and community) that will most benefit from and support your unique ThriveZone.

III. ENVISION—Define your vision and chart your new path.

In the third phase of the roadmap, you imagine a new vision and mission for your life, based on your ThriveZone Blueprint. Then you identify the gap between where you are today and your vision, to create your goals, strategies and an action plan.

IV. MASTER—Manifest, evolve and grow.

In the final phase, you begin making concrete steps toward your new life. Over time, you learn which parts of your plan work and which parts need adjustment. You take steps to remain motivated and accountable to achieve your vision. To master your ThriveZone, you cultivate key success principles (Seven Characteristics of Self Mastery).
