A Christmas Miracle: Trusting the Universe and Finding My Sacred Home

What if I told you that magic is real and that when you trust in the unseen, miracles can happen? This is a story about believing in possibilities, trusting divine timing, and allowing the universe to guide you toward something extraordinary. If you’ve ever wondered whether life can hold more meaning, alignment, and magic, this is for you.

In the midst of delays, disappointments, and doubt, there is a deeper orchestration at work—one that’s guiding you toward something better than you can imagine. My journey of finding my new home was filled with synchronicities, divine guidance, and lessons in trusting the magic of life. As I share this experience, my hope is to inspire you to connect with the possibilities in your own life and to remind you that the universe is always working in your favor.

The Home That Held My Heart

A year ago this week, I took a monumental step in my journey—letting go of the home that had held my heart for two decades. For 20 years, my old house was much more than a home—it was a sanctuary. My late husband, Bob, and I moved there with a vision: a place in the country where we could raise our boys surrounded by nature and a loving community. Together, we built a life filled with love and laughter in that home.

When Bob passed away, the house became my haven. It was where I navigated the depths of grief and began my spiritual awakening.

For those of you who have cherished a space that has seen you through life’s most profound moments, you’ll understand how much this home meant to me. It was a place of transformation, not just for me but for everyone who entered it. Over the years, I opened it to spiritually minded individuals, hosting gatherings filled with connection and growth.

It held so much love, so many memories, and a deep sense of purpose. Letting go of that space wasn’t just a practical decision—it was a spiritual leap.

Divine Guidance Along the Way

Have you ever felt that subtle nudge, that quiet whisper telling you to wait, trust, or take a step forward? Throughout the process of selling my home, I was guided by moments like these.

In August last year, when I first listed the house, one of my clients—a gifted clairvoyant—shared that I would still be at the old house for Christmas. At the time, I felt disappointed; I was ready to move forward. But she assured me that this timing was divine and that spending one final Christmas with my family at the old house would serve as a powerful ceremony for honoring and closing that chapter. She was right. That Christmas became a sacred moment of gratitude and farewell, shared with my boys in the home that had sheltered us for so many years.

Later, my clairvoyant client gave me more insights that proved astonishingly accurate. She described the person who would buy my house as the “Man Alone.” Most people assumed the home would go to a family, given its size and design, but she was right.

Another divine nudge came in the form of a tarot reading during a trip to Alberta. While celebrating what I thought was a confirmed offer, the reader told me it would fall through but assured me that a better opportunity was coming. The very next day, her prediction came true. These moments weren’t coincidences—they were signs that the universe had a bigger plan.

A Christmas Miracle

The timing of everything felt like magic. Just days before Christmas, during the rush to close out the year, the pieces finally fell into place. The second offer on my old home was secured, and the house I now call home became available at the perfect moment.

My incredible real estate broker, who had already shown me 60 properties, was a steady source of guidance and encouragement throughout the process. She reminded me to trust that the perfect home was out there, even when I felt discouraged. I had placed offers on five homes before this one, but each time, when the offers fell through, I never felt inspired to counter. Something in my heart told me they weren’t meant to be. My broker’s unwavering support helped me stay open to possibilities I might have otherwise missed, and her encouragement kept me grounded until the right home revealed itself.

Her encouragement paid off. She had been diligently sending me listings, but I almost missed this one because we had been searching for a three-bedroom home. It hadn’t appeared in my automated updates due to the technicality. This house was listed as a “one-bedroom plus two” because the other two bedrooms are on a lower, walk-out level. Something nudged me to look directly on the MLS site—a rare occurrence for me—and that’s when I found the listing.

When I walked into the house for the first time, I knew it was the one. Nestled in a serene forest on a mountainside, with a river winding through the property, the setting felt like a sanctuary straight out of a dream. The house itself exuded warmth and connection to nature, with large windows that invited the outdoors in and an open floor plan that flowed seamlessly from one room to the next.

Built with love and care, the house featured high-quality natural materials, creating a sense of harmony with its surroundings. The lower-level bedrooms opened to the forest, offering a unique connection to the land, while the main living areas, bathed in natural light, felt perched in the tree tops. With its beautiful balance of rustic charm and modern comfort, it was a place where I could envision myself thriving, reconnecting with nature, and creating new memories with my family, friends and community.

It was as if the house had been waiting for us, just as we had been waiting for it.

Hurdles Still to Overcome

Despite our excitement, there were two significant hurdles to overcome. When I first discovered the house, there had been an offer on it, which fell through at the same time the first offer on my house did. This gave me hope, but that hope was quickly tempered when I learned that another offer had come in, and I would have to compete for it. Unlike with the previous offers, I knew in my heart that this was the one, and I was determined to do whatever it took to make it mine.

It was a tense and uncertain time. Amid the frenzy of house inspections, notaries and financial institutions racing against the clock to finalize transactions just hours before closing for the holidays, a Christmas miracle unfolded. My offer prevailed, and everything finally fell into place, as if guided by unseen hands ensuring it was meant to be.

The entire process was a profound reminder of the magic of trusting divine timing and stepping into alignment when the moment calls for action. It wasn’t just about finding a house; it was about staying open to the possibilities, even when the path felt unclear. In the end, the house found me as much as I found it, and it all happened at exactly the right moment.

The Perfect Alignment

The synchronicities didn’t stop there. The buyer of my old home, the “Man Alone,” purchased the property sight unseen, trusting the universe to guide him. He relied on a friend to show him the property via video just hours before entering a 10-day silent retreat in Nepal—a place that holds deep spiritual significance for me. His leap of faith, driven by intuition and alignment, deeply inspired me. It reminded me of the power of trusting in the unseen and allowing the universe to orchestrate the perfect outcome. When he emerged from his retreat, the deal was finalized, and my next chapter began to unfold with breathtaking precision.

The timing was nothing short of magical. My new home had gone on the market on what would have been the 25th anniversary of my marriage to Bob—a sacred nod to the love and life we built together. Soon after, I moved out of my old home on Bob’s birthday, a moment that felt like honoring his legacy and releasing the past with gratitude. Finally, I moved into my new home on my own birthday, a powerful symbol of rebirth and stepping fully into my future.

These weren’t just dates on a calendar; they were profound markers of closure and new beginnings, perfectly aligned with the cycles of life. Moving out on Bob’s birthday felt like a sacred release, honoring the past and its many lessons. Moving into my new home on my birthday felt like a rebirth, signaling growth, continuation, and the promise of the life ahead.

From a numerological perspective, these dates formed a bridge, tying the old and new chapters of my life with divine intention and alignment.

It was as if the universe itself was saying: “This is your time. Step forward with trust”

A Home for All Seasons of Life

This new home has become a sanctuary not just for me, but for my family and community. For those of you navigating transitions—whether it’s empty-nesting, moving, or redefining home—know that a new chapter can hold just as much love and connection as the last.

My older son had very recently left the family home to begin his adult life with his partner. This new house provides a space for him to return, surrounded by the beauty of nature. It’s a place where he and his partner can reconnect with the family, celebrate milestones, and recharge.

My younger son, deeply connected to this land, has embraced this home as a sacred space to springboard into his adult independence. As he travels the world, he returns to this sanctuary to reunite with the family and rejuvenate his spirit. This holiday season, we are celebrating his return after a five-month adventure touring South America. Having him back in this sacred space feels like the perfect culmination of a year filled with transformation, growth, and connection.

This week, as we mark the Winter Solstice, I am hosting an evening with sacred souls to honor this land and the shifts in consciousness we are experiencing. Gathered around a fire under the stars, we will meditate and connect with the elements, celebrating the light within us and the turning of the season. This sacred ceremony feels like the perfect way to reflect on the past year and open ourselves to the possibilities of the future.

Lessons learned from this Journey

As you reflect on your own path, consider these lessons from my journey:

1. Let Go to Move Forward: Releasing the past can feel daunting, but it creates space for new possibilities to emerge.

2. Trust the Timing: When things don’t go as planned, it’s often because something better is on its way. The universe’s timing is always perfect.

3. Magic Is Real: When we open ourselves to possibilities and believe in the unseen, miracles happen. Magic is all around us if we trust in it.

4. Follow Your Intuition: That quiet, inner knowing will always guide you toward what’s meant for you—if you listen.

5. Everything is Connected: From the people you meet to the timing of events, life’s synchronicities remind us that we are always being supported.

A Final Note of Gratitude

To the buyer of my old home: Thank you for honoring the energy of that space and continuing its legacy.

To the sellers of my new home: Thank you for building this sacred space with such love and care.
